FOUNDERS:
Noemi Hites and Dearborn David found a similar passion while coaching together at Monte Vista High, women’s lacrosse. Not only do both players have a competitive heart, but cannot see life without this game. Considering this passion, they decided to turn a dream into reality by bringing the game of lacrosse to girls all over the Bay Area. They are bringing a reality that they could only dream of as high school players. The heart of this program was established to expand the game of lacrosse and provide a positive learning environment to girls of all ages. They want to provide a service that was not available to them when they grew up. The lacrosse community demanded more lacrosse outlets; Noemi and Dearborn have committed to passing on their own experiences and increasing the level of play on the west coast. This high school club team has been established to give back to the community of lacrosse.
Triple Threat Services in a Nutshell
This team is highly competitive and geared toward athletes that want to be recruited for Division I, II, and III schools. Each practice is intense and the coaches require high levels of dedication on and off the field. Team divisions will vary each season. There will be graduation year specific teams as well as mixed teams, depending on the upcoming tournament. Players will be coached by all staff. Each practice varies from drill stations with all coaches to specific defensive/offensive work with one coach.
PRACTICE FORMAT:
Practice teams are formed based on skill level and grade level. Due to the demand of college coaches and tournaments, practice format will move toward age pure teams. Triple Threat focuses on women lacrosse athletes looking for a competitive club team and recruiting possibilities. Lacrosse can be a vehicle into college and we encourage any player interested to tryout.
Triple Threat coaches understand the need to play at a higher level. If one player exceeds the level at her current grade level, there will be opportunities for her to practice with the higher level teams. Players are welcome to join the Triple Threat with no intentions of traveling to tournaments. We want to provide all players with a competitive atmosphere no matter the goal of the player. Scrimmages will be organized for all teams. Any player can attend local tournaments.
Summer:
This season is more compact and more intense than the fall season. Grade specific teams will travel to at least two or three recruiting tournaments on the east coast. The upcoming mixed grade levels have an opportunity to travel to one or two tournaments varying in location. There will be at least one local tournament and possible scrimmages for all teams. The season usually lasts from late May until the end of July with 15-20 practices. Practices are usually in the late afternoons or evenings, twice a week.
Fall:
This season is less intense with practices only once a week. Practices are on Sundays to prevent conflicts with other sports. This season starts in September and goes through January. There are one or two traveling tournaments to the east coast for mixed grade levels. There are two or three local tournaments and scrimmages scheduled periodically throughout the season for all teams. There are roughly 15-20 practices in the fall season. Practice times usually run in the early afternoon.
Please view our Tryouts/Registration page and Tournament Schedule for more details pertaining to each season.
